Run, Lizard, Run!

I’m going to run a 5K in March.  And then probably another one in April.

Well.  It’s more like I’m going to jog a 5K in March.  And one in April.

Ok, fine:  I’m probably going to amble a 5K in March and April.  The hope is that I can at make a good showing when the gun goes off at the starting line. Anything after that is gravy.

Why am I telling you this?  Because I didn’t get a chance to jamble today.  Jambing is a mixture of jogging and ambling.  So, I’m off to the treadmill to get in my jambling before the day is done.

Truth be told, I’m cautiously hopeful that I really will be able to jog the entire 5K.  I think I can do it.  I have 3 months to prepare.  My old co-worker didn’t call me Jackie the Bulldog for nothing.  With 343 posts under my belt so far this year without missing a single day, you understand why he called me that.  I kinda-sorta like to finish the things I start.

By the time March is here, I hope to be junning, which is a mixture of jogging and running.

But…gotta start somewhere.  So off I go to jamble at 10:00 at night.

Picture of the Day

Look, kids!  It’s Kit!  The car that can drive itself.

For those who are curious, the March run is a fundraiser for the homeschool cooperative I belong to.  We’ll be running on the Gettysburg College campus.  It’s on March 16th.

I have no details for the April one.  I’m not even sure if it’s a go yet.  The church has a house that they’ve renovated.  If a family finds themselves homeless, they can live in the house temporarily until they get back on their feet.  The April run would be a fundraiser to benefit the house.
